New York, NY The Chinese-American Planning Council Inc. (CPC) is excited to announce the election of Gebond (Gee) Chow and Sheridan Chu to its Board of Directors.

Gebond (Gee) Chow is an information security leader and technology sales professional based in New York City. Currently serving as a Solutions Architect and practice co-lead at F5, he plays a pivotal role in assisting organizations with enhancing their digital experiences and protecting their applications. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Gebond is also a co-founder of Sales Engineers of New York (SENY), a non-profit community focused on connecting current and prospective sales engineers within the NYC metro area. He has over 15 years of experience developing and implementing software solutions across the enterprise and consumer industries. Gebond believes that second-generation Asian Americans in the professional workplace should give back to the community. In alignment with this belief, he has served on the Board of Directors of CPCHAP since 2017.

"I have fond memories of accompanying my grandparents as a youth to community events similar to the ones CPC still hosts today. My family and I continue to be inspired by the commitment and resolve of the CPC staff, leadership, and community through the invaluable programs and services. I am proud to join the Board of Directors and look forward to even bigger ways that the Chinese-American Planning Council can help support ‘Advancing Our Community’,” said Gebond.

Sheridan Chu is an attorney at Travelers Insurance Company, primarily focused on first-party personal injury claims. He currently serves as the board secretary for the Chinese-American Planning Council Home Attendant Program Inc. (CPCHAP). Prior to joining Travelers, Sheridan was a principal court attorney in New York State Supreme Court - Criminal Term. He was also a former board member of Queens Community Board 6, and served as a former executive board member of the Citywide Association of Law Assistants of the Civil, Criminal and Family Courts.

"It is an immense privilege to serve on the board of the Chinese-American Planning Council. Joining the CPC Board is not just a commitment; it's an opportunity to shape the future, build bridges of understanding, and empower our communities to reach new heights together," said Sheridan.

“We are thrilled to welcome Gebond and Sheridan as invaluable additions to our Board of Directors. Their diverse backgrounds and unwavering commitment to community service align seamlessly with CPC's mission,” said Wayne Ho, President and CEO of CPC. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with them, advancing our community members’ goals, and collectively shaping a future where our communities thrive.”
