On July 1st, CPC released a statement on the passage of New York City's $125.8 billion FY27 budget, which supports working-class New Yorkers with critical investments in housing, childcare, food access, immigrant legal services, and other essential programs. We commend the Mayor and City Council for their commitment to ensuring that AAPI, immigrant, and low-income New Yorkers can afford to live in this city and have the support they need to thrive. While there is more work ahead, this budget is a meaningful step toward a more equitable and inclusive city, and CPC looks forward to building on this progress with our elected leaders.
