On November 1, 2018, CPC joined elected officials and nonprofit leaders at 32BJ to encourage everyone to vote in the Midterm Elections on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. The Asian American community is the fastest growing community in New York City.

Chinese-American Planning Council Embarks on HIV/AIDS Education Campaign Ahead of World AIDS Day 華人策劃協會為世界愛滋病日展開愛滋教育運動

CPC will launch a social media campaign starting on November 5th to 30th to educate our community on the topic of HIV/AIDS prevention and testing, and to mobilize our community members to participate in HIV testing prevention.

BEST Mentorship Program - Speaker Spotlight Series: Asian Americans Breaking through the Bamboo Ceiling

On Friday, October 19th, the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) hosted another successful Business Exploration Student Track (BEST) Mentorship Program event featuring a Distinguished Spotlight Speaker Series panel with JPMorgan Chase. Lai Ling Li, a Vice President at JPMorgan moderated the "Asian Americans Breaking through the Bamboo Ceiling: Career Strategies & Cultural Barriers Part 2" panel, welcoming three executives to motivate our community members.

During their tour of the center, the group visited classrooms and enjoyed interacting with the children during their art activity. CPC is glad that folks from NYCHA and the Deputy Mayor's Office were able to see the program and areas for facility improvement first-hand.

On November 15, 2018, the advanced level ESL class in Education and Career Services’ Adult Literacy Program visited the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City. This museum commemorates the tragic events from the attack on September 11, 2001.
