The Christian Science Monitor Spotlights Open Door Senior Center’s Offerings

On October 8th, The Christian Science Monitor featured CPC Open Door Senior Center and highlighted its adaptive programming that meets the diverse interests of our members aged 60 to 100. The reporter interviewed several community members and Po-Ling Ng, CPC Associate Executive Director and Open Door Senior Center Director, who emphasized the center’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment that encourages social interaction. Members enjoy a variety of activities, including mah-jongg, pingpong, Chinese opera performances, dance classes, and cultural outings to explore nearby cities.

CPC Joins 27th Annual Silent March Against Domestic Violence in Queens

On October 11th, CPC participated in the Korean American Family Service Center’s 27th Annual Silent March Against Domestic Violence in Flushing, Queens, to raise awareness and prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, and relationship abuse. The march serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of those affected by violence in our communities and helps build a supportive environment where every survivor feels respected and empowered to thrive.

CPC Raises Over $90,000 at the CPC Brooklyn Harvest Moon Benefit to Support Local Communities

On October 23rd, CPC held its Brooklyn Harvest Moon Benefit at the New Phoenix Seafood Restaurant. The event celebrated 45 years of transformative programs through CPC Brooklyn Community Center and honored five outstanding individuals who have provided outstanding service and leadership in the Brooklyn community.

CPC Hosts the Golden Day Community Carnival to Encourage Voting Participation

On October 26th, CPC hosted the Golden Day Community Carnival at CPC One to empower and engage community members in the upcoming elections. Over 100 youth volunteers and staff provided vital resources to ensure voters are informed, prepared, and confident as they head to the polls.
