On March 3rd, CPC joined Congressman Dan Goldman and Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal at CPC’s Open Door Older Adult Center for a press conference to stop SNAP skimming benefits. Fraudsters have been stealing benefits from vulnerable New Yorkers, forcing parents to skip meals so their children can eat and leaving older adults to line up at food pantries as early as 3 a.m. During the press conference, Wayne Ho, President and CEO of CPC, highlighted our latest policy report that shows the devastating impact of federal budget cuts on food security for AAPI and immigrant communities in New York City.
