On January 20th, Luther Flurry, CPC's Chief Financial Officer, served as a panelist at the recent Nonprofit BoardCon conference hosted by New York Nonprofit Media. The event convened executive leaders and board members from across the state to focus on strengthening board-staff collaboration for greater organizational impact. Luther joined leaders from major social service organizations and financial and advisory firms for a panel titled "Board Responsibilities & Training 101." The discussion centered on the legal and ethical duties of nonprofit board members, including fiduciary oversight, mission stewardship, regulatory compliance, and practical governance skills.
