CPC Advocates for Childcare Equity at ABNY and 5BORO Institute Panel

On March 6th, CPC joined a panel hosted by ABNY and The 5BORO Institute to discuss the future of childcare and the policy changes needed to improve access, affordability, and quality for the workforce. Wayne Ho, President and CEO, advocated for pay parity for community-based early childhood educators, a continuum of care serving children ages 0-5, and increased language access for immigrant families. The panel also included Ana Almanzar, NYC Deputy Mayor of Strategic Initiatives; Jennifer Gutiérrez, NYC Council Member; and Aravella Simotas, SVP of Government Affairs at REBNY.

CPC Consumer Directed Continues to Provide CDPAP Services in Partnership with PPL

CPC announced that subsidiary organization CPC Consumer Directed is facilitating the transition of New York City's consumers in the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) to Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) as part of a statewide initiative. CPC Consumer Directed will continue serving as the CDPAP facilitator for current consumers, while new consumers may select CPC Consumer Directed as their facilitator and receive assistance with transitioning to PPL.

Senator Gillibrand Hosts Press Conference at CPC Queens Community Center to Address Federal Funding Freeze

On February 3, World Journal reported that U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand held a press conference at the CPC Queens Community Center, where she strongly opposed the Trump administration's decision to freeze federal funding. She explained how this move would negatively impact the Asian American community, particularly low-income families who rely on food banks, school lunch programs, and other essential welfare services.

CPC's Job Training Program Equips Graduates for Success in the Labor Market

CPC Education Career Services team celebrated the graduation of 15 students from the Soft Skills & Job Placement Program, a five-week initiative designed to enhance career readiness. Launched six months ago, the program provides essential skills and personalized instruction in areas such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and resume building. These skills empower students to build confidence in the workplace and prepare for job searches in today’s competitive job market.
