Asian American Community Leaders, State Legislators, and Diverse Allies Call on Governor Cuomo to Step Up to Support Asian Americans New Yorkers

On March 26th, CPC joined Asian American community leaders to denounce Governor Cuomo’s March 17th statement on the tragic mass shooting in Atlanta and denounced over a decade of systematic disinvestment from the Asian American community. Asian American leaders, NY State legislators, and hundreds of Allies from New York’s nonprofit, business, union, philanthropic, and faith sectors are calling for a $19.5 million package for Asian American community based organizations to respond to the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes, promote relief and recovery from the pandemic, improve data disaggregation, and advance racial healing.

Family Child Care Providers Get CPR Certified

Members of CPC Family Child Care Network met in person for a CPR certification training in Queens on March 27th. The training was led by Michael Shin, a certified CPR trainer of the American Red Cross, with more than 20 child care providers. 

CPC Joins Asian Peace Rally at City Hall

CPC Queens Community Center Director Mitch Wu and Director of Operations Steve Yip joined community leaders at a New Yorkers United Against Anti-Asian Violence & White Supremacy rally at City Hall park on Saturday March 27th. CPC joins CACF and Asian American organizations calling on Governor Cuomo to provide $19.5 million in the FY21-22 State budget to support organizations working on pandemic recovery and responding to rising hate.
