On July 1st, CPC Chrystie Street School-Age Child Care Center arranged a family trip for young participants and their families to the Land of Make Believe, an amusement and water park in New Jersey. The trip was sponsored by MassMutual, and attended by 49 families, including a total of 145 parents, grandparents, uncles, and other family members.

Many of these families do not own a car and have not had the opportunity to travel since the pandemic began. Through this trip, young children and their family members were able to spend time together and make memories without having to worry about the cost.

“MassMutual NYC is so proud to sponsor this first post-pandemic family bus trip,” says Rika Wu, Marketing Director at MassMutual NYC. “The smiles of CPC Chrystie Street’s kids and families say it all! I believe we can all make time and room for what’s most important—connect and create lasting memories with friends and loved ones. Thank you to the dedicated CPC staff for making this trip possible!”

CPC Chrystie Street School-Age Child Care Center is an afterschool enrichment program that serves 120 children, ranging from ages 5 to 11, annually. More information about the Center: https://www.cpc-nyc.org/programs/education/school-age-child-care-center-chrystie-street
