Fighting Stigma at AIDS Walk 2018 in Central Park

Did you know? 1 in 5 Asians living with HIV in the United States do not know they have HIV.* The API community is the fastest growing population of new yearly HIV diagnoses, but people fear getting tested and finding out their result because of stigma against the disease. In honor of National API HIV Awareness Day, CPC HIV/AIDS Services hosted a workshop to discuss how we can end the stigma HIV/AIDS within the API community.

In an effort to break the silence of HIV/AIDS in the API community and encourage people through education to get tested, the group organized by CPC's HIV/AIDS Services gathered CPC Youth participants to design posters and customize T-shirts for the AIDS Walk New York 2018 that took place last Sunday, May 20th.

CPC's HIV/AIDS Services provides and offers free testing on the first Monday of every month between 10 AM and 2 PM.

Please join us at 165 Eldridge Street, New York, NY 10002 on Wednesday, June 27th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM for the next free testing day.
