CPC Distributes Mooncakes to the Community

CPC received donations of mooncakes from several organizations and individuals. These mooncakes were then distributed to community members to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Special thanks to Heart of Dinner, Flushing Chinese Business Association, Royal Care, and members of the CPC Leadership Council, including Lai Ling Li and Christopher Kuo

CPC Seniors Rally for Council Member Hudson's Aging Legislative Package at City Hall

On September 7th, CPC led a group of over 150 older adults from our Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens Senior Centers to join a rally in support of the Chair of the Aging Committee and Council Member Crystal Hudson’s Aging Legislative Package at City Hall. The rally was also joined by Council Member Alexa Avilés, Council Member Gale Brewer, Council Member Eric Dinowitz, Council Member Kristin Richardson Jordan, Council Member Linda Lee, and Council Member Lynn Shulman. Peter Cheng, Director of CPC Nan Shan Senior Center, urged New York City Council to pass the AgeInPlaceNYC package to ensure all older adults can age in place with dignity.

CPC Statement on Home Care Reform

New York, NY – The Chinese-American Planning Council Home Attendant Program Inc. (CPCHAP) provides critical, life-saving home care services to Medicaid patients, who cannot afford such services otherwise. CPCHAP has no choice but to provide home care by following New York State Medicaid rules and requirements, as well as Department of Labor laws, court decisions, and union agreements.

CPC Queens Community Services Participates in the First Asian Autumn Gourmet and Cultural Festival

On August 13th, CPC Queens Community Services took part in the First Asian Autumn Gourmet and Cultural Festival hosted by the Alliance of Asian American Friends in Flushing to promote CPC programs and services and provide useful resources for community members to utilize.
