CPC and NYCETC Publish Op-Ed on Need for Upward Mobility Investment

On September 26th, The Hill published a joint op-ed by CPC and the New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) addressing the affordability crisis in New York City. The piece illustrates that resolving the crisis requires more than just housing subsidies—it also requires investment in higher wages that keep pace with the cost of living, career pathways to middle-class jobs with real mobility, and opportunities for building long-term wealth and stability.

This is why CPC continues to advocate for higher wages, not only for all New Yorkers, but also as a champion of the Just Pay for Human Services Workers and Fair Pay for Home Care Workers Campaigns.

With decisive leadership from our city and state officials — and from the candidates seeking to serve — we can build a New York City that is fairer, more resilient, and truly affordable for all.
