CPC Nan Shan Senior Center's Talents Shine at Local Community Health Fair

On August 12th, CPC Nan Shan Senior Center's Chinese Musical Ensemble team was invited to perform at the Good Health Fair in Flushing, hosted by the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. Staff from Early Childhood Learning and Wellness Services and Multi-Social Services also tabled in Flushing and Chinatown to offer information and brochures about our range of services. The fair featured free health screenings, educational activity booths, social services resources, and vital health insurance information.

CPC and NYC CCR&R Partners Host Family Resource Day for Parents and Children

On August 5th, CPC Early Childhood Learning and Wellness Services (ECLW) and partners from the New York City Child Care Resource & Referral Consortium (NYC CCR&R) held a joint family resource day for families with children embarking on their kindergarten journey. Parents gained access to useful information and resources, including children’s books, while the young ones enjoyed face painting and games.

CPC Joins New York State's Anti-Stigma Campaign to Promote Inclusivity

CPC joined the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities on a new campaign to combat discrimination and stigma faced by individuals with developmental disabilities. Among the inspiring stars featured in the "Look Beyond My Developmental Disability" campaign is CPC's Respite Coordinator, Jessica Hsieh. Our Queens and Brooklyn Special Needs programs also played an important role in shaping the initiative through meaningful focus group discussions.

CPCHAP Welcomes New Board Member Benjamin Eng

The Chinese-American Planning Council Home Attendant Program Inc. (CPCHAP), a subsidiary nonprofit organization of CPC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin Eng, MD, MA to its Board of Directors. Benjamin is President of the EastBridge Foundation where he has led impactful projects in partnership with nonprofits including CPC.
