CPC Employment Services Hosts Third Open House for Census Bureau Jobs
As 2020 begins, efforts are increasing to bring awareness and increase participation in the upcoming Census.
On January 10th, more than 35 community members attended a special open house at the Manhattan Community Center to learn more about jobs at the U.S. Census Bureau. Community members were given a presentation by the Census Bureau team on the importance of participating in the upcoming Census in April.
Community members were also introduced to CPC's Education and Career Services, which provides help with job placement services, job training programs, free English classes, and college counseling.
Immediately after the presentation, Census Bureau representatives assisted community members with the first steps in applying to Census jobs online. CPC's Education and Career Services provided laptops which allowed applicants to navigate the Census Bureau website more comfortably.
A friendly reminder for anyone interested in applying to jobs with the Census Bureau: this is the last month to apply! Get your applications in today at the Census website here.
