On March 12th, CPC joined New Yorkers United for Child Care, elected officials, coalition partners, and parents at City Hall Park to urge the city government to prioritize 2-Care in the budget to expand full-time child care access for 2-year-olds in New York City and restore early childhood funding that was previously cut. CPC Advocacy Manager Benice Mach spoke at the event and stressed the need for this effort. Children and parents from CPC’s Chung Pak Early Childhood Center also attended.

"CPC serves 300 of NYC’s children through our Early Childhood Education programs, in addition to providing thousands more with child care referrals and support. Early childhood education isn’t just daycare—it’s essential for children’s growth and helps working families thrive. However, affordable options are still too limited. Even our staff struggles to find care. Every child deserves high-quality, affordable childcare. It’s time to extend this to 2-year-olds too" said Benice Mach.
