Julio Peña III Honored as a Latino Trailblazer

On September 15th, Julio Peña III Director of CPC Project Reach, was recognized in City and State’s inaugural Latino Trailblazers list. The list celebrates Latino leaders that have already blazed a trail in many other arenas, from health care to major philanthropies to startups. 

Julio oversees youth development programs as well as LGBTQ+ and antidiscrimination workshops, advancing opportunities for youth of all backgrounds. Separately, as a Democratic district leader in Sunset Park and Red Hook and as chair of Brooklyn Community Board 7, he has championed equity, inclusion and youth engagement. With a tireless commitment to social justice, Peña has built cross-community coalitions that amplify underrepresented voices and empower underserved New Yorkers.
