On June 6-9, CPC attended the CISANI (Chinese Immigrant Service Agencies Network International) Conference in Toronto, with this year's focus on civic engagement. This annual event that brings together member organizations to address the needs and challenges facing Chinese immigrants, and sharing ideas, resources, and best practices. Wayne Ho, CPC President and CEO, spoke on a panel to share how CPC has addressed civic engagement through citizenship classes, voter registration and mobilization, organizing staff and community members, and policy advocacy.

CPC attended the grand opening of the Wong Avery Asia Pacific Peace Museum, the first in the world to be dedicated to educating and commemorating the history of World War II in Asia. Additionally, CPC visited Yee Hong, one of Canada's largest not-for-profit senior care organizations that has been providing culturally appropriate services to Asian seniors since 1994.

CISANI was co-founded by CPC in 1979 to promote organizational development among Chinese social services organizations in the United States, and it has since grown to include organizations in countries around the world, including Australia, Canada, China, and Hong Kong.
