CPC STATEMENT ON THE ATTACK IN BROOKLYN CHINESE RESTAURANT
New York, NY -- The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) condemns the violence that happened in a Sheepshead Bay Chinese restaurant this past Tuesday. This act of hate is one of far too many that have occurred in New York City in the past two years and continues to be on the rise.
CPC sends our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. As an organization dedicated to achieving a society free from racism, we call upon all New Yorkers to join together in solidarity to eliminate all forms of racism, hatred, and violence in our country.
CPC is committed to providing support for our community members in times of need, and will be working with our partners to reach out to the families of the victims to provide any assistance needed in this time of tragedy
About CPC
The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is the nation's largest Asian American social services organization. Founded in 1965, CPC aims to promote the social and economic empowerment of Chinese American, immigrant, and low-income communities of New York City.
