Throughout the week of July 4th, Lois C. Lee Early Childhood Center in Queens celebrated the July 4 holiday with a read-aloud of the book, "Apple Pie 4th of July" by Janet S. Wong, and had a fun discussion with the children about the differences and similarities between Asian and American cultures. In addition, our 3K and 4K students showcased their creativity in the fireworks art project, in which they painted fireworks using a fork as a brush.

"Apple Pie 4th of July" is about a Chinese family who owned a Chinese restaurant and how they celebrated the 4th of July.
