CPC Participates in APA VOICE

On January 3rd, CPC was one of the 17 civic engagement organizations that make up the APA VOICE Redistricting Task Force, urging Governor Hochul and the New York State Legislature to adopt the Unity Map that accurately reflects the 2020 Census date and the tremendous growth in the Asian population in New York City. 

It’s critical that the voices and political power of our diverse Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community be protected through redistricting. The Unity Map does that for AAPI, Black, and Latinx New Yorkers. We stand with APA VOICE: Voting and Organizing to Increase Civic Engagement in calling Governor Kathy Hochul and the State Legislature to adopt the fair and equitable districts in the Unity Map.
