On October 7th, CPC received $10,000 from Greater Hudson Financial. The funds will support CPC's services for families with special needs and people with developmental disabilities, helping them in reaching their educational, employment, community, and family goals.

"CPC is extremely grateful for the generous support from Greater Hudson Financial and their commitment to making a difference in our community. This donation will enhance our ability to continue providing high-quality programs and services as well as empowering our community members to reach their fullest potential in their education, career, family, and communities," said Wayne Ho, CPC President & CEO.

CPC is one of the two Chinese American organizations that receive funding from the New York State to support people with developmental disabilities. Back in August this year, CPC Queens Special Needs Program hosted an annual summer picnic at Queens Botanical Garden for community members, families, and staff. The event was created for participants to develop new skills, learn more about the resources available to them, and form new friendships.

“For more than a decade, Greater Hudson Financial has been a longtime supporter to CPC in helping low-income families, new immigrants, children with special education, and job placement in the Chinese community,” said Derek Chan, President & CEO of Greater Hudson Financial, a Queens native, first generation Chinese American. “I am honored to be a community partner with CPC as I was born and raised here in New York. This is my home. This donation is just one of the ways our company gives back to the community. We want to do the best we can to ensure that organizations like CPC have sufficient funds for Asian American advocacy initiatives and better serve the community we live in.”
