CPC Brooklyn Seniors Participate in CaringKind's Alzheimer's Walk on Coney Island Boardwarlk
On September 23rd, CPC Brooklyn Community Services staff accompanied 25 seniors services members to participate in CaringKind's Annual Alzheimer's Walk in Coney Island . The annual walk raises awareness and funding to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Our seniors braved the uncertain weather in support of a great cause that affects 5.7 million Americans of all ages. In addition to marching over a mile as part of the event, our seniors were able to raise close to $500 to help fight the disease.
Our seniors were greeted by Mr. Jed Levine, President and CEO of Caringkind. Our seniors were excited to be reunited with Ms. WeiJing Shi and Ms. Wai Yee Chan of Council member Justin Brannan's office, our previous directors from CPC Brooklyn Community Services.
