On June 6-7th, CPC Queens Special Needs Program hosted a bilingual pilot session of the Family Employment Awareness Training (FEAT) for over 20 participants. The session featured personal employment success stories shared by participants and offered employment services support from nine local agencies, including Project Ready, Tech Kids Unlimited, Queens Legal Services, Community Options, Goodwill, and New Yor Employment Services System, and others.

FEAT aims to empower transition-age individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and professionals by providing insights into employment aspects such as benefits, incentives, and available resources. This initiative was made possible through CPC’s collaboration with Indiana University’s Center on Community Living and Careers, funded by the New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities.
