CPC Brooklyn Community Services Senior Services Dance Group wins Third Place!
On Saturday, November 9th, 2019, CPC Brooklyn Community Services Senior Service Dance Group joined the 10th New York Immigration Day dance competition hosted by Singtao Daily, Healthfirst, and Maimonides Medical Center. This cultural event celebrates immigrants living in the U.S. and promotes healthy living for people of all ages. The 10th New York Immigration Day is an opportunity for individuals to participate in social activities and raise awareness on common health issues and preventative education to further improve our daily lives.
One of the main components of that day included a Senior Group Aerobic Dance Competition. This competition showcased many elderly members of our community who are active and continue to be active, even as they get older. Every group created a special dance routine and wore colorful attire. Everyone did a wonderful job!
Our CPC Brooklyn Senior Dance Group participated in this competition. We want to congratulate our CPC Brooklyn Senior Dance Group for winning the third place in the 10th New York Immigrant Day Dance Competition. This is the 6th time our dance group participated in this community event. This year, 11 teams participated and the scoring was very close! Our dance team brought its best performance, their focus, and their positive team spirit! Their performance received many praises throughout the day and everyone commented on their beautiful dresses and applauded them for their dance routine.
Many thanks to the organizers: Singdao Newspaper, Healthfirst, and Maimonides Medical Center for hosting this wonderful and meaningful event!
