Early Child Care Centers Bring The Arts & Community Together with Cool Culture

CPC's Little Star of Broome Street students and parents were featured in CUNYTV's "Arts in the City" coverage of the Arts in NYC for children. CPC's five Early Child Care Centers partner with the nonprofit organization Cool Culture to connect our families with access to world-class cultural institutions such as the Rubin Museum of Art for free. Our children and their parents are able to participate in small group art workshops with various Arts experts to learn about the work that they will be seeing in the museum and create their own artwork as well. The families are then invited to go through the museum to see the actual works of art talked about.

The activities of Cool Culture and CPC's Early Childhood Centers bring diverse families together to build a community through the Arts. Both Cool Culture and CPC believe that it takes a community to raise children. Having parents engage with their children, stimulate their creativity and help them develop their literacy and observation skills.
