NYC FIRST Lego League
Team 21 City Shapers spent another weekend competing in the FIRST Lego League Semi-Finals for a chance to advance to the finals. On Sunday, March 1st, the team of 11 fifth graders from Chrystie Street School-Age Center spent the entire day at John Dewey High School competing against 35 teams. They participated in three challenging rounds of robot matches and presented their city project to four League judges. Although they did not win the golden ticket to the finals, they won second place for Strategy and Innovation in Robot Design.
By offering the Lego Robotics program, the fifth graders learned coding, teamwork, and communication. All essential skills for the 21st century. We look forward to having this program again for another group of future engineers and coders. Help make this happen and support STEM, donate to CPC.
