Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Hosts Lunar New Year Gathering

On February 8th, the CPC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee organized a Lunar New Year gathering for staff to exchange stories and experiences. Staff were treated to refreshments and provided with arts and craft activities to encourage them to express their creativity.

CPC Community School at PS 94 Organizes Monthly Parent-School Gathering

On February 2nd, the CPC Community School at PS 94 co-hosted its monthly Coffee with the Principal event, offering PS 94 parents the opportunity to engage with school leadership, the CPC Community School team, local partners, and fellow parents. Additionally, parents were able to pick up items from our in-house food pantry and clothing closet.

CPC Joins the Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies' Anniversary Celebration and State Lobby Day

On January 22nd and 23rd, Wayne Ho, President & CEO of CPC, joined the Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA)'s 50th anniversary celebration as their MC and the subsequent State Lobby Day in Albany. Wayne is also a Board Member of COFCCA, which represents over 100 member agencies involved in child welfare, including CPC. He and approximately 100 advocates met with over 50 state legislators to advocate for increased investments in child welfare services and the child welfare workforce as outlined in the #JustPay campaign.

CPC Queens Special Needs Hosts Winter Festival

On January 20th, CPC's Queens Special Needs team organized a Winter Festival in Flushing that brought together more than 400 families for a day filled with entertainment and support. The event featured fun activities such as painting, paper arts, karaoke, and games. In addition to the festive activities, it served as a platform to provide participating families with information on available resources, language assistance, and guidance.
