From February 14th to 16th, CPC participated in the New York State Association of Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Asian Legislative Caucus Weekend in Albany. The event provided a platform to advocate for legislative and budget priorities that strengthen our communities, including the AAPI Equity Budget, the Just Pay Campaign for human services workers, the Fair Pay for Home Care initiative, and other critical investments to support staff and community members. CPC also spoke at the “Human Services Pay Equity is Racial Equity” workshop and stressed the importance of pay equity in human services and home care sectors.

The workshop was also joined by NYS Senator Roxanne Persaud, Executive Director of the Human Services Council Michelle Jackson, and Executive Director of the Supportive Housing Network of New York Pascale Leone.
