On July 13th, CPC Nan Shan Senior Center and Helen Keller International have partnered up to provide free vision screenings and prescribed eyeglasses to more than 60 seniors in the Flushing community.
On July 12th, CPC hosted a workshop on scam prevention for over 30 seniors at the Nan Shan Senior Center in Flushing. The workshop, facilitated by JP Morgan Chase, focused on raising awareness about common scams and shared tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of scams.

Throughout the week of July 4th, Lois C. Lee Early Childhood Center in Queens celebrated the July 4 holiday with a read-aloud of the book, "Apple Pie 4th of July" by Janet S. Wong. In addition, our 3K and 4K students painted fireworks using a fork as a brush.
The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) announced today that the dining hall of the Nan Shan Senior Center in Flushing, Queens, is now named the Maria Poon Memorial Hall. An unveiling ceremony was held in honor of community member Maria Poon and her continuous contributions to CPC and the community.
