On January 8th, Deputy Mayor for Strategic Initiatives Ana Almanzar met with CPC and several children and family organizations to share the Mayoral Administration's preparations for the incoming Presidential Administration. The conversation focused on key areas such as infrastructure & operations, civic engagement, health care, immigration, and social services. Wayne Ho, CPC’s President & CEO, emphasized the need for a strong partnership between City Hall and community-based organizations to address both state and federal issues. This included the need to use more inclusive language, particularly when discussing immigrant policies and reaffirming sanctuary city policies.

He also called for the enforcement of current sanctuary city policies and the addition of sanctuary state policies to the legislative agenda, and stressed the importance of ensuring timely payments to community-based organizations and increasing funding to address pressing community issues over the next four years.
