Hands Around Our House: Direct Action Vigil

On Wednesday, August 8th from 4-7 p.m., Neighbors to Save Rivington House, along with many supporting community organizations, elected officials and individuals, will take action to demand the return of Rivington House, a 219-bed skilled nursing facility, at 45 Rivington St.  Neighbors and community leaders will join on August 8th to physically surround the building in a solemn direct action intended to send a message of resolve and community unity in demanding the return of the building.  The action will also remind the community of our desperate need for skilled nursing beds throughout the neighborhood.
