On August 21st, SinoVision interviewed Mollie Korewa, CPC Adult Literacy Assistant Director, and Carlyn Cowen, Chief Policy and Public Affairs Officer, about the demand for English learning classes and their impact. Mollie and Carlyn highlighted how these classes boost students' confidence and help them navigate different neighborhoods. However, funding for adult literacy programs is tightening at both the city and state levels, leading to longer waitlists and unmet needs.
