CPC Distributes More Than $1.25 Million in Cash Assistance

From March to August, CPC has provided $1,250,900 in direct cash assistance to 1,543 families in dire need. Assistance resources provided by funders including Gerstner Family Foundation (via United Neighborhood Houses), the Mayor's Fund, the New York Immigration Coalition, Robin Hood, and the Zegar Family Foundation.

CPC Family Child Care (FCC) Networks assist families in applying for subsidized child care and help parents find high-quality, in-network family child care providers. Families with children aged 6 weeks to 3 years are encouraged to call on our CPC Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services program.

CPC's Six Early Childhood Centers Reopen for In-Person Services
September 22, 2020
CPC's six early childhood centers reopened on September 21st for in-person services for families. Council Member Peter Koo joined our Lois C. Lee Childhood Center staff in Flushing to welcome families back. On September 23rd, NYS Senator Brian Kavanagh came to visit Chung Pak Early Childhood Center and NYS Assembly Member Ron Kim visited Lois C. Lee Early Childhood Center. On September 25th, NYS Senator Brad Hoylman visited the CPC Early Childhood Center at Tribeca.

Steve Mei, CPC's Brooklyn Community Services Director, was quoted in a Gothamist article published on September 30th. CPC Brooklyn Community Center in Sunset Park was one of the distribution sites for free, culturally-appropriate meals prepared by members of the Street Vendor Project.
