CPC Celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with Staff and Community Members

Throughout the final week of September, sites across CPC celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese celebration of the autumn harvest. The holiday brings families together and honors gratitude and reunion under the full moon. Across our sites, staff and community members gathered for mooncake and tea tastings, mooncake giveaways, and paper lantern-making.

Traditions like sharing mooncakes and lighting lanterns carry cultural meaning passed down through generations. For new immigrants, these customs help build a sense of community and belonging as they create a new home. They also offer those who did not grow up celebrating the holiday a chance to learn about and appreciate another culture.
