On February 5th, CPC joined Council Member Alexa Avilés and community partners to meet with Commissioner Levine of the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Steve Mei, Director of CPC Brooklyn Community Services, noted that vulnerable AAPI community members are often targeted by bad actors when seeking essential services like immigration help, housing, and benefits access.
