CPC Rallies to Demand On-time Payment to Early Childhood Providers

On October 19th, more than 60 CPC staff and program participants gathered on the steps of City Hall to join Council Members and allies to urge DOE to pay early childcare providers on time. CPC Queens Early Childhood Center Director Lois Lee also testified before the City Council's Committee on Education about the negative consequences of the city's late payments to early childhood programs.

Hundreds of workers have gone months without pay, forcing some childcare centers to close their community programs due to the burden of expenses.
