CPC Named a Semifinalist in Nonprofit New York's 2019 Nonprofit Excellence Awards
The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is honored to be named one of 13 incredible semifinalists of Nonprofit New York's annual Nonprofit Excellence Award.
The competitive process includes an evaluation on 9 key areas of nonprofit excellence, including governance; program planning and results; advocacy and strategic alliances; fundraising; communications; and diversity, equity, and inclusion. This year, 39 nonprofits applied.
The semifinalists were selected by a 38-person expert Selection Committee who not only evaluate applicants, but share tailored feedback and expertise throughout the Awards program. From the pool of semifinalists, the Selection Committee will select one Overall Management Excellence Award winner from three finalists. Up to nine other organizations will receive Special Recognition for their cutting-edge practices in a Key Area of Nonprofit Excellence. The overall winner will receive $30,000 and the finalists $10,000 each. The winner, finalists, and specially recognized organizations will receive a scholarship for leadership programs for nonprofit professionals at the Columbia Business School Executive Education Programs in Social Enterprise. They will also be recognized and participate in Nonprofit New York’s Best Nonprofit Conference.
