Assistant Residence Manager
Program Description:
Services for Families with Special Needs supports individuals with developmental disabilities enjoy meaningful relationships with friends, family, and others in their lives; experience personal health and growth; and live in the home of their choice and fully participate in their communities.
Position Title: Assistant Residence Manager
Location: 55-11 97th Street, Corona, NY 11368-3049
Schedule: Full-Time, Schedule varies
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
In collaboration with Residence Manager,
- Train, supervise, evaluate direct support professionals to ensure necessary skills to provide appropriate care.
- Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and standards are met.
- Coordinate with other service providers including day habilitation and medical professionals.
- Supervise implementation of residential habilitation and other plans.
- Provide oversight of individuals’ personal allowance, bank accounts and financial records.
- Ensure families/advocates are informed of individuals’ health, wellness and progress.
- Support the daily operations of the residence including monitoring household supplies and appliances.
- Ensure residence is in compliance with all required regulations.
- Direct Care duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in Chinese and English.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid New York State Driver License in good standing preferred.
- Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities preferred.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
