Assistant Residence Manager

Program Description:

Services for Families with Special Needs supports individuals with developmental disabilities enjoy meaningful relationships with friends, family, and others in their lives; experience personal health and growth; and live in the home of their choice and fully participate in their communities.

 

Position Title:  Assistant Residence Manager
Location:  55-11 97th Street, Corona, NY 11368-3049
Schedule:  Full-Time, Schedule varies

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

In collaboration with Residence Manager,

  • Train, supervise, evaluate direct support professionals to ensure necessary skills to provide appropriate care.
  • Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and standards are met.
  • Coordinate with other service providers including day habilitation and medical professionals.
  • Supervise implementation of residential habilitation and other plans.
  • Provide oversight of individuals’ personal allowance, bank accounts and financial records.
  • Ensure families/advocates are informed of individuals’ health, wellness and progress.
  • Support the daily operations of the residence including monitoring household supplies and appliances.
  • Ensure residence is in compliance with all required regulations.
  • Direct Care duties as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in Chinese and English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid New York State Driver License in good standing preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.

 

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.
