CPC Joins the Call on City Council to Pass Introduction 1867 with Community Leaders

CPC joined United Neighborhood Houses, New York Immigration Coalition and Human Services Council, alongside Assembly Members Catalina Cruz and Latrice Walker, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, and Council Members Carlos Menchaca, Carlina Rivera, and Ydanis Rodriguez to call on the City Council to pass Introduction 1867 - Our City Our Vote. The legislation supports non-citizen voting and ensures all our community members are represented in our city.

EmblemHealth Names New Facility After CPC Executive Director

EmblemHealth named its new Flushing facility on 41-61 Kissena Blvd., Flushing, NY 11355 the “Charles P. Wang Center for Wellness.” The Center, named after CPC's former Executive Director Charles P. Wang, opened on October 6th, and was attended by EmblemHealth CEO Karen Ignagni, Mr. Charles P. Wang, Congresswoman Grace Meng, and other elected officials and community leaders.

Sign Up for the Child Tax Credit Before November 15, 2021

Due to a change to the Child Tax Credit, families can get half of the fully refundable credit—worth up to $3,600 per child—as advance monthly payments in 2021 and the other half as a refund in 2022. CPC can help you claim Child Tax Credit payments. The deadline is November 15, 2021.

CPC Hurricane Ida Relief Covered by News 12

As one of several partner organizations, CPC will provide assistance and accept applications for community members to access the relief funds. The application period will close on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. In order to qualify for this program, the applicants must a) themselves not be eligible for FEMA assistance and b) not have an individual in their household who is eligible for assistance.
